Reviews Overview

Most Liked

The Sunday roast at Peels Arms has gained a cult following, delighting locals with hearty portions and exceptional flavours. The steak and ale pie, a crowd favourite, receives rave reviews for its rich filling and flaky crust. Guests also appreciate the inviting ambience and friendly service, with many commenting on how they feel welcomed as part of the community. The selection of craft beers and fine wines rounds out the experience, offering something for every palate. The outdoor seating provides a lovely setting to enjoy a summer drink and take in the beautiful views.

Most Disliked

Though Peels Arms exudes a warm atmosphere, some diners have noted that it can get quite loud during peak hours, especially on a bustling Sunday evening. This may detract from the intimate dining experience that some seek. Another point of concern is the limited space during busy times, which can lead to waits for a table, so making a reservation is often a necessity. Additionally, while the majority of the menu delights, a few guests have mentioned that certain dishes do not consistently match the quality of the most popular offerings.

This was absolutely amazing! I had the Steak and ale pie with chops and peas and the absolute best sticky toffee pudding with custard. Okay it was my first but it remained the best out of the others I tried. I am still drooling over it. Lovely pub and great people.

Called in on spec for a late lunch what a wonderful place, the food was top, we had chicken Kiev.. proper, not breadcrumbed re formed breast, but tasty and juicy. There was a lot of laughter , and there was a good choice of beer.. what's not to like!

Great gem in Padfield. The food was amazing and the service was top notch. Attentive crew who made us feel right at home. Well worth a visit if you are in the area. I would say it's advisable to book for food as it fills up quickly. The views are also great. So if you don't want food. Make sure you pop in for a drink and without the back and take in the views
